Full-time Grounds Maintenance Crew member

at Wright Landscape Services (Anywhere)

The Grounds Maintenance & Snow Crew is responsible for ensuring the work completed is up to Wright Landscape Services standards. Operating a variety of equipment and tools in a safe manner to get the required tasks completed is critical to the success of this position.

Wage range: $19-$23/hour.

Primary Duties

 

  • Regular lawn maintenance including but not limited to; cutting grass, weed whacking, leaf raking or blowing, seeding, planting, digging, laying sod, and trimming plants or trees.
  • Regular snow removal including shoveling, salting, operating snow blowers and other snow removal equipment.
  • Completing assigned tasks in a timely manner.
  • Follow all policies and procedures while working at all company locations and client sites.
  • Operating necessary equipment, tools, and vehicles.
  • Control plant growth and development through pruning, and shaping.
  • Other duties as assigned by Management.

 

Requirements

 

  • High School Diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • College Diploma is an asset.
  • Reliable transportation to and from work.
  • 1-3 years of experience in grounds maintenance.
  • Exceptional team player.
  • Good understanding of lawn maintenance best practices.
  • Knowledge of plant matter, proper handling and care
  • Use of company property in a respectful manner and returning the property to where it belongs when tasks are complete.
  • Moderate physical strength and stamina.
  • Excellent judgement and adaptability.

 

Work Conditions

 

  • Exposure to plants, trees, and chemicals used in the treatment of these areas.
  • Lifting or moving up to 75 lbs. may be required.
  • Extended periods of standing/sitting in outdoor setting.
  • Manual dexterity required to use equipment and tools.
  • Extended hours as required.
  • May perform work in adverse weather conditions including extreme heat or cold, snow and or rain.
