Blue Sky Fence & Deck is a full service outdoor construction company operating in the KW (+ surrounding) area. We are looking to grow our team of trusted professionals by hiring additional Construction Workers. Read on for more information on the qualifications, skills and job description. The pay range is between $20.00 and $28.00 and will be determined based on work experience and construction knowledge.

Qualifications:
Please carefully read the following. Please do not apply unless you meet all of the following qualifications as otherwise your application will not be considered.

• 5 years of construction experience with a preference for framing, carpentry or hardscape experience
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs
• Expertise in using power tools and machinery such as skid steers, excavators, power drills, hammers, etc.
•  The ability to perform repetitive physical tasks for up to eight hour shifts during the day (year round but weather permitting)
•  Familiarity with the Ontario Building Code
• The ability to read and understand plans and blueprints
• General knowledge of construction operations and procedures
• Some management experience
• Ability to follow instructions, and work independently
• Valid Ontario Driver’s License
• The ability to read and write in English

Tasks:
As a Construction Worker with Blue Sky Fence and Deck your job will vary day to day. Tasks include, but are not limited to, the following…

• Ensuring the necessary materials and tools are packed for the job ahead
• Delegating work to junior crew members
• Quality control
• Ensuring health and safety procedures are followed
• Managing your time, and fellow crew members time, to ensure jobs are completed in a timely manner
• Demonstrating how to properly use tools and/or complete tasks to junior crew members (providing on the job training/mentorship)
• Following blueprints and plans
• Framing decks and fences, demolishing fences/decks, pouring concrete, installing pavers, hardscaping, trenching, roofing, erecting retaining walls, etc.
