Full-time Supervisor

Gal Building Services Inc Is looking for a dependable, reliable, and enthusiastic Supervisor for our Cleaning and Building Staff.

Work Hours:

  • Monday to Friday 9:00am-5:00pm
  • Some weekends and on-call shifts

Wage/Salary:

  • $25.00 per hour

Responsibilities:

  • You will be required to supervise a team of seven employees and supervise a 24- hour concierge desk- service
  • Must be familiar with high rise condo building mechanics and janitorial services
  • You will be responsible to train new employees
  • You will be responsible to make work schedules and designate jobs to be done
  • You will be responsible to provide some other services such as painting, minor repairs, or replacement of equipment if needed
  • Co-ordinate shift duties for all employees during specific shifts
  • Creating management reports
  • Must be able to operate a pressure washer and operator industrial carpet cleaner
  • Creating training manuals and reports for management
  • Maintenance of equipment that may include some minor technical repairs equipment preparation for other shifts and conditions reports for warranty and repair services on equipment
  • Maintaining and monitoring team members safety standards service quality customer satisfaction feedback to management
  • Order supplies and drop off supplies to various job locations
  • Maintaining stock at reasonable levels and making sure that the shift will run efficiently and predict productivity with teamwork and delivery of top-quality service
  • Must be available for on call and short notice fill-ins

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years experience in a management /supervisory role
  • Experience working in high rise buildings and condominiums
  • Experience with Canadian safety standards
  • Experience with ordering commercial supplies
  • Experience working with commercial industrial equipment and cleaning and janitorial supplies
  • Experience with computers (Microsoft Office – Excel Spreadsheet)
  • Experience with working within an operating budget
  • Some sales experience
  • Must have a car
  • Must be willing to travel

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Post secondary – Business Management
