CNC Operator
at Trylon Inc. in Elmira
We currently have a need for CNC Operators for the midnight shift at our facility in Elmira. CNC Operators use computer numerically controlled (CNC) machinery safely and accurately to perform a variety of functions. This position is responsible for safely and efficiently maintaining, controlling and operating the CNC machines that are used in the fabrication of our products. This entails managing settings, conducting tests and process audits, and some minor troubleshooting and preventive maintenance activities.
Location: Elmira
Hours of Work: Full-time, Shifts (straight, non-rotating)
Midnights Sunday to Thursday: 11:00 pm to 7:00 am
** Candidates MUST be willing and available to work any shift**
Wages & Benefits:
CNC start rate: $21.93/ hour (wage progression to $25.35/ hour, based on skill)
Shift Premium : $1.00/ hour Midnights
Success Factors:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Previous experience operating CNC machinery and tooling as well as precision measurement tools an asset
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical documents and drawings
- Computer savvy with basic understanding of computer programming and CAD/CAM
- Mechanical aptitude and good math skills
- A keen eye for detail and results-driven approach
- Good communication abilities
- Knowledge of relative safety standards
- Deftness and attention to detail
- A high energy level, a positive attitude and able to work without direct supervision
- Ability to work well with others as a member of a team as well as independently
- Previous experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
